The 2005 Mercedes-Benz E-Class comes in four trims the E320, E500, E55 AMG, and the E320 CDI sedan. The newer E320 trim comes with a 221 horsepower V6 engine. The E500 has a 5.0 liter V8 that pushes out some 302 horse power.
The E55 AMG gives out 469 horsepower from its V8 engine, and the E320 CDI sedan with a 3.2 liter diesel engine comes in with 201 horsepower.
No doubt the 2005 Mercedes-Benz E-Class is a power filled class. There is also the option of getting a wagon body, rear wheel drive, or an all wheel drive. There is a sports trim that can be had as a sedan or a wagon. The E320 CDI trim come fitted with a diesel engine.
With the exception of the E500 model which uses a 7-speed automatic transmission the other three trims have a 5-speed automatic transmission.
